Welcome Video

Hello there! I'm Jake White. I'm originally from Akron, OH. I was a Casas intern for two summers during college. After graduating with my Bachelor's in Construction Engineering from the University of Akron, I moved to El Paso and have worked for Casas ever since. I serve in the Juárez department handling the materials and tools. I was blessed to have met and married my wife, Mariela, here in El Paso. She's finishing up medical school and is about to start residency! We hope to spend the rest of our lives on the mission field serving side by side.

Meet the pastor sponsoring this family

Mateo Torres Mariscal
Pastor of: Aposento Alto

Hello, my name is Mateo Torres Mariscal. I have been in ministry for 19 years. Our church, Aposento Alto (Upper Room), loves to help families with young children by blessing them with gifts like milk, diapers, and food. Our goal is to build classrooms that we can use for children's ministry, and also to obtain tables, chairs, and teaching materials for the classrooms. Our desire will always be to serve our community and present Christ to them.

Welcome Video

Hi! I'm Brendan Noerper, and I am from Millstadt, Illinois. My first mission trip was in 2015 when my youth group and I came to Acuña, México to build two homes with Casas. That trip opened my eyes to missions and the impact it has on the world. A year and a half later, I joined a team from a church in Illinois who was building a home in the Dominican Republic over the New Year. During that trip, I decided that I was ready to apply to be an intern for Casas. I had the privilege of interning for Casas in Acuña during the summer of 2017. It changed my life, and I cannot begin to describe the work God has done. Upon returning home, I decided to apply to be full time staff with Casas and spent 18 months in the El Paso/Juárez location as a field coordinator after getting hired. I moved to the Acuna department in August of 2019 to serve there as a field coordinator. There's no doubt God is using me for his glory. This journey is amazing, and God is doing great things.
