Meet the pastor sponsoring this family

Omelio Jose Marte Rodriguez
Pastor of: Más Que Creyentes

My name is Omelio Marte, but my friends and family call me Michell. My wife, two children, and I live in Navarrete, and I have been a pastor in the neighboring community, Ponton, since 2002. Before my journey with ministry began, I felt God calling me in a special way. His calling was not very clear at the time, but a voice inside of me was leading me to Navarrete. I began serving as a church leader and led a small service in my sister's home. I asked if anyone wanted to accept Christ, and one person raised their hand; I received a feeling of responsibility. That simple service in my sister's home has led me to the church we have today.

Welcome Video

Greetings! I'm Justin Kirklin. I have a beautiful wife named Julie, and three kids, Eli, Emily, and Ethan. Julie and I met in our home state of Michigan and attended Ferris State University together. We were both introduced to Casas por Cristo through our campus ministry and fell in love with Casas. We married in 2008. In 2009, we accepted a position with the ministry and moved to El Paso to start our wonderful ministry together with the rest of the Casas staff. After spending 2014 to 2018 launching our Dominican Republic location, we are now back in El Paso, TX serving in our main office. We look forward to our continued service and ministry to our teams and the families we minister to!

Hi, my name is Aimee Johnson.  I am from Calgary, Canada and this will be my second time interning with Casas por Cristo.  I went on my first trip when I was nine years old to Mexico with my family and have since had other opportunities in missions in a few Latin-American countries.  It has expanded my perspective and grown my heart for other cultures and how God is at work.  Recently, I have been experiencing God's kindness and faithfulness in my life, and I look forward to how He will move and what I will learn this summer.

Hello there! My name is CJ White, and I’m so excited for the amazing opportunity of serving as an intern with Casas por Cristo! I’m currently a sophomore at the University of Wisconsin- Eau Claire with a major in Elementary Education and a minor in Spanish. I’ve been on six previous trips with Casas to Ciudad Juárez, Mexico and I can’t wait to get to know the staff further and grow in my faith this summer. I’m so passionate about this mission and am looking forward to seeing how God works in my life, the lives of the teams and staff, and especially the lives of the families we serve.
