Meet the pastor sponsoring this family

Jorge Mario Bac
Pastor of: Monte Hermon

Hello. My name is Jorge Mario Bac, and I am the pastor of Iglesia Monte Hermon. I have been serving in ministry for 10 years. Through our partnership with Casas por Cristo, we have been able to take the Gospel of Jesus to many families and have been able to show them the love of God. Our goal as a church is for us all to learn the Gospel and show the love of Jesus to the people in our community. My hope is that we may bring the love of God to the people through the ministry of both the church and Casas por Cristo.

Welcome Video

Hi, I am Pete. I have been on staff at Casas por Cristo since September of 2001, with my wife Abby joining in the summer of 2005. I also served as a summer intern for three summers prior to coming on staff. After serving several years as the Juárez Field Director, I moved to Guatemala to serve as the Field Director there. I am now the Director of Central America, overseeing our Guatemala and Nicaragua locations. I am privileged to be a part of leading and helping set the vision and direction of the ministry. Abby and I have five children: Eden, Charlotte, Ezra, Samuel, and Solomon.

Hi, I'm David. I am originally from Plano, Texas and went to TCU for college where I got a degree in Sports Medicine. While I was in college, I was first exposed to church, the Word, and mission trips. I have always had a strong passion for serving others, and that led me to short-term trips in Africa as well as in Guatemala with Casas por Cristo. For some time now, I have contemplated long-term missions and ministry, and I believe this internship will help in discerning my future. I have been on five Casas builds, and I am looking forward to a great summer. I am currently working as an athletic trainer at a high school in Fort Worth and live with my dog, Honey.

Welcome Video

Hello, my name is Wayland Dietrich. In 2013, I hit a fork in the road of life and realized it was time for a major life change. I randomly came across the Casas por Cristo website and applied for an internship. Three months in México building homes and serving God seems like a big enough life change, right? Little did I know that internship was going to be the first step into a great journey I have been led down. I am currently a Field Manager in our Nicaragua location. I can't even begin to explain how excited I am and how every day I am learning to put my trust in God.

Welcome Video

Hello friends, I am Luke. Before serving with CpC, I worked at a small construction company based in Fayetteville, GA. My first Casas trip was in the summer of 2017 with Southwest Christian Church. I enjoyed it so much that I signed up for another trip in February 2018. That trip led me to sign up for a summer internship in both 2018 and 2019. If I could go back in time ten years and ask my old self, “How would you like to go to a third world country and build homes for the poor in the name of Jesus?”, my response would have been, “You’ve definitely got the wrong guy!” However, in Christ, I became a new creature. God filled my heart with the desire to serve Him by helping others. God’s intervention completely rearranged my life’s priorities. Now, what matters most is living out His will for my life. Casas offered me a full-time staff position as a Guatemala Field Coordinator, and I gladly accepted this position with inspiration from Proverbs 16:9. I’m excited about what the future will bring and am excited to grow with this wonderful ministry!
