Miguel Flores Flores
Pastor of: Juan 14:6

Hello, my name is Miguel Flores Flores. My wife, Veronica, and I have been pastors for eight years at our church Centro Cristiano Juan 14:6 (Christian Center John 14:6). We are a church that seeks to serve God. We are growing every day, both spiritually and in number. Our goal is to start a soup kitchen to help the people in our community that need food. We care for our community and want to continue helping and ministering to them in any way that we can.

Welcome Video

Hi, my name is Brigham. My beautiful wife, Jamie, and I have two fantastic little girls, Caris and Calla. I’m originally from Illinois and took my first trip with Casas at age 16. A few summers later I came back as an intern. That summer was a major turning point in my life that deepened my desire to serve God. Afterward, He opened up the opportunity for me to work in youth ministry for nine years. I joined Casas’ staff in the fall of 2016 to serve as the Intern Manager. I have the privilege of working for a ministry that has impacted and shaped my life in a tremendous way. We have been blessed by Casas, and now we want to be a blessing through Casas. We are excited about what God is going to bring about in our time here.

Welcome Video

Hi! My name is Stacy, and I’m so excited to be interning with Casas this summer! I’ve been on previous mission trips to Guatemala and have absolutely fallen in love with building house and ministering to people. While I was in Guatemala, I got to build houses for families whose homes were either destroyed from the volcanic eruption or who had never had a home. I love that with the building of a home comes memories that will last a lifetime, that this house will be filled with laughter, love, family dinners, worship, and so much more! I’m so excited for this summer in Juárez as I cultivate relationships, share the gospel, and build houses!

Meet the pastor sponsoring this family

Arturo Hernandez Escobar
Pastor of: Templo Vida Nueva

Hello, my name is Arturo Hernández Escobar. My wife, María, and I have been pastors for 27 years and we are currently serving at Templo Vida Nueva (New Life Temple). Our church is a missions church, which means there is a heavy focus on evangelization. Our goal for the church is to build a cafeteria where members of our church can eat and fellowship together. Our goals for the community are to clean up the streets and parks, do more evangelism campaigns in our schools, and preach the Word of God to all.

Welcome Video

My name is Estefania Soto, and I attend the University of Texas at El Paso. I graduated in May 2020 with my Bachelor’s in Civil Engineering, and I love construction. After my first internship with Casas in 2017, I received the opportunity to help manage the construction of a 1.1 billion dollar hospital for the past three years. This year, I’m so thrilled to be able to return to Casas por Cristo and be the hands and feet of Jesus. This season has been a whole new lesson of faith. I will be graduating, going to Juárez, and then moving to California quickly after I return. There is a lot of planning and trust as I enter a new season, slowly stripped away from my comforts. However, I know the Lord will be with me through it all, and I will learn so much about Him which brings me great excitement.

Welcome Video

Hey, my name is Tess Borders. I’m from the St. Louis area. In the fall, I will be a senior at Georgetown College, where I am a part of the lacrosse team and an FCA leader. I am an art major and psych minor. I have been lucky enough to be a part of six builds in the Dominican Republic. I have felt a calling for missions ever since my first mission trip to Panama during my freshman year of high school. I am ecstatic to be able to intern this summer in Mexico and see what God has in store for not only me but every person I encounter.
