Hello. My name is Ernesto Arellano Hernandez, and I am the pastor of Iglesia Rios de Agua Viva (Rivers of Living Water Church). I have been serving in ministry for over 28 years. We are a restoration church with a vision from God to reach souls. Our hope is to carry out the purpose God has given us until Christ returns. We are passionate about helping those in our community know the Lord as their Savior (John 3.16).

Hi! I’m Kaylee, and I’m currently a freshman at UC Berkeley majoring in International Business Administration with a minor in Spanish. I grew up in Davis, California, where I ran cross country and track, raced on the ski team, and participated in FFA (Future Farmers of America). My first service trip was through Casas, and it was the catalyst that has led me to pursue a future in the nonprofit field. My background at a Spanish Immersion school and my involvement in international humanitarian work during high school has instilled a dream in me to start my own nonprofit, which I am pursuing through my business major. I am beyond blessed to have the opportunity to serve this summer through Casas por Cristo, and I can’t wait to see what God has in store.

Hi everyone! My name is Josie Corrao. I am from the Chicagoland area. In the fall, I will be a junior at Illinois Wesleyan University; I am a musical theater major. I’ve had the opportunity to serve with Casas since the summer of 2015 and have participated in many builds between Juarez and Acuña. I have always had a heart for serving and this year felt led to apply to be an intern. I am beyond excited to intern for my first time with an organization that has changed my life. In the midst of this crazy year, God has still remained God, and his goodness has shined through. I cannot wait to see God move mountains this summer through his mercy, grace, and love. It is a blessing to love God and love others.
