Story of the Year
Meet Ignacio Huerta, the man holding a baby in the photo. Ignacio received a Casas por Cristo home in Acuña, México earlier this year. He lives alone because his wife abandoned him, but his two grandchildren visit him often. After the completion of his home, at the dedication, Ignacio was so moved by what he experienced that he accepted Christ into his heart. Ever since, he has been attending my church regularly. I have been following up with him and disclipling him so that he does not fall away from the Lord. Ignacio is dating a woman now and has been asking my advice because he wants to do things the right way. Ignacio is his own boss and works delivering products to local convenience stores. He is very grateful to God and to Casas for his new home and his new life in Christ. Stories like Ignacio’s are the reason Casas por Cristo exists. 2017 Summary
God has done great things in and through Casas por Cristo this year. We completed 256 homes as a ministry – 35 in the Dominican Republic, 63 in Guatemala, 64 in Cd. Acuña, and 94 in Cd. Juárez. God is good! That means 256 families now have a safe and secure place to call home and a constant reminder of God’s love and provision. It was an honor to witness God at work in the lives of these families, their sponsoring pastors and churches, and the volunteer teams who came to build and serve. Help us continue in our mission to build homes and serve families living in poverty by making a year end donation.

- Began collecting family videos to share with our volunteer teams
