Julia battled ovarian cancer for over a year. Even when Julia was very sick, she would still regularly attend our Juárez pastors’ meetings, and she and Sergio would still advocate for the poor families in their neighborhood to get a home as soon as possible.
Even though she wasn’t a part of our ministry for very long, she served alongside us with a passion and love for Christ that won’t soon be forgotten. Although it is difficult to see Julia pass on at the young age of 42, it is a comfort to know that she is no longer in pain and that she has heard our Lord say, “Well done, good and faithful servant.”
Please pray for Julia’s family, friends, and loved ones who are grieving this difficult loss. Let those who knew her honor and remember the impactful legacy she left on her community. Pray for her husband, Pastor Sergio, as he continues to expand their ministry in Juárez and serve alongside us here at Casas por Cristo.
