This is Martin (57) and Elizabeth (50). Martin works in a recycling plant lifting heavy objects all day. He recently hurt his shoulder while working, which affects his overall comfort and ability to work.

Martin and Elizabeth currently live in a wood-pallet house with dirt floors and tarps for walls. They suffer from uncomfortable heat in the summer and cold in the winter, and the walls fail to keep out dust blown by strong winds. They have no real protection from the harsh elements in Juárez.

“Where they’re living right now is not a house. …They are older and need a better quality of life.”

-Pastor Leticia

While it is difficult to visit these families and see the housing conditions they must endure, it is a good reminder of why we do what we do. Impoverished areas like those in Juárez need reassurance that God is there for them. It is our prayer that one day every person we serve will learn about the Gospel and seek Jesus in their hearts, and that the houses they receive will serve as mere reminders of His everlasting love.

Martin and Elizabeth were told to expect a house within 6 months – 1 year. Please join us in praying for this family and for the team that will serve them. If you would like to donate to help families like this, click the button below!
