Hello, my name is Damian Mendoza. My wife, María, and I have been serving at our church, El Triunfo (The Triumph), for 5 years. We are a church that strives to serve and help others. Our goal is for our church to grow both spiritually and in number. We would also like to buy a bigger plot of land to build a bigger building for our church. We want our community to know the Lord Jesus Christ and to know that our church is a place where the healing doctrine of Christ is preached.

Hello. I am Andrew. I am originally from St. Louis, Missouri. I first came on trips with Casas with my campus house, and these builds led to a summer internship before I graduated with a degree in Graphic Design. I then moved to El Paso to work with Casas full time. I grew up going on trips to México with my home church, which is where I gained my passion for mission work. I serve as a Senior Designer at Casas. I love this job because I get to use what I learned in school to help the ministry grow, and I get to work with my hands as well as with people, which is also a passion of mine. I married my beautiful wife, Lacy, and moved her to El Paso in May of 2014. She is studying to become a nurse at Texas Tech here in El Paso.

Hi, I'm Sadie. To be honest, my first choice for the summer was an internship at a nearby hospital as a student nurse. After being rejected from two of them and learning my roommates were both moving out, I had to rethink my summer plans because staying in town was clearly not in God’s playbook for me. A month later I was sitting in chapel, and a group got up and started presenting about their trip with Casas por Cristo in January. I became overwhelmed with emotion, had goosebumps, and immediately knew this was His plan for my summer. I submitted my application the next day, tracked down some references/friends who have also been interns, and here I am! I attend the University of Sioux Falls in Sioux Falls, SD and will have completed my junior year before beginning this internship. I have four baby sisters that I adore with everything in me and two perfect parents (you laugh, but really you should meet them). I’m ready to do whatever I can to help anyone who is willing to receive it.
