Meet the pastor sponsoring this family

Saturnina Cabrera Samuel
Pastor of: Iglesia Juan 14:6

I am Saturnina Cabrera. I started my journey as a pastor in 2009, in the small community of Barrero. I have a beautiful family of seven! At the time God called me to Barrero, I was a leader at a church in a different town and did not want to leave. However, I understood that there was a great need in this community. There was a time my husband had to leave home and look for a job, and I remained faithful and stayed in Barrero.

Welcome Video

Hello! I’m Josh. I first worked with Casas por Cristo when I was 16 years old on a trip to Juárez. In 2006, I packed all my belongings and moved from Akron, Ohio to El Paso, Texas to work with Casas as a summer intern. In 2007, I was officially brought on staff as a Juárez Field Coordinator. I married my beautiful wife in 2014, and in 2015 we moved to the Dominican Republic where we served together as Dominican Field Coordinators. In 2017, I took on a new level of responsibility as the Dominican Field Director and now serve as the Vice President of Foreign Field Operations. My time at Casas has been quite an adventure from learning as a young 20 something in Juarez, to being married and becoming a father while serving in the Dominican Republic , to now living back in El Paso, TX with my family as I help lead our foreign locations. No matter what roles God has for us going forward with Casas por Cristo, my family and I are honored to play a part in the incredible work He is doing here.
