What a Great Year!
God has done great things in and through Casas por Cristo this year. We completed 289 homes as a ministry – 47 in the Dominican Republic, 73 in Guatemala, 58 in Cd. Acuña, and 111 in Cd. Juárez. God is good! That means 289 families now have a safe and secure place to call home and a constant reminder of God’s love and provision. It was an honor to witness God at work in the lives of these families, their sponsoring pastors and churches, and the volunteer teams who came to build and serve.
A Time to Build
Progress on our A Time to Build project has continued on our new Administration and International Operations buildings here in El Paso throughout 2019! Thanks to you, we have raised over $1,109,090 for this project. We are grateful for all of your support throughout this past year and are so blessed to have accomplished all of this debt-free. We still need around $290,909 to bring this project to a close. Will you consider giving this holiday season to help us reach our goal? Click the donate button below!
Expansion to Nicaragua
Last year, we announced that we will be expanding operations into Nicaragua in 2020! We have spent much of 2019 preparing to start our ministry in the community of Chinandega, and we couldn’t have done it without you! You all gave so generously – in prayer, monetarily, and through our Amazon wishlist. At the end of summer, we were able to send missionaries, Wayland & Katherine Dietrich and Weston & Melissa Lott, to start setting up ministry operations in Nicaragua. Our first build in this new location will begin January 11, with 13 other homes scheduled to be built throughout 2020. Please pray as our staff prepare for this exciting new adventure God has us on in serving a whole new community in Chinandega. He has and continues to provide much more abundantly than we could have ever hoped for, and we thank you for your prayers and support in this process.

Staff & Interns
Casas brought on three new full-time missionaries this year. Ian Dugger moved to the Dominican Republic to serve as a Dominican Field Coordinator. Chris Pearson joined staff to serve as a Guatemala Field Coordinator. And Chris Summerlot moved to El Paso, Texas to serve as Field Coordinator in Juárez. We were excited to have these individuals join the Casas family with the unique gifts they each bring with them.
Additionally, Casas enjoyed serving with 24 interns this summer. These young men and women raised their own funds and sacrificed three months of their time and energy to build homes for families in need as well as serve in our administrative and field offices. We could not have survived our busy seasons without their help. Their passion for service brought a wave of refreshment to our ministry. We also launched our brand new Creative Internship program and had our first two creative interns in 2019. Brigham Dion, our Intern Manager, did a great job training, investing in, and discipling our interns this year.
We praise God for all the great things He has done through Casas por Cristo this year. We would not have been able to accomplish so much without your generosity. Thank you for your partnership. Help us continue in our mission to build and serve.
