God has done great things in and through Casas por Cristo this year.
After a long process, we are excited to announce that we have finally poured the foundations for our International Operations Building and our Administration Building at our headquarters in El Paso, Texas.
Meet Mary Cadarette, one of our newest missionaries. After doing two summer internships, Mary took on the role of Juárez Field Coordinator. She helps manage our pastors committee meetings, family follow up visits, tools, and materials.
Can you help us connect with manufacturers as we transition to purchasing and distributing our own home building materials? We all have something to give.
Meet Argenis Disla, one of our newest missionaries. Argenis joined staff in February of this year as a Dominican Field Coordinator to help with making videos, translation, leading builds, and whatever else needs to be done.
Chuck & Lois Rackow are a retired couple that spends their free time giving back with Casas por Cristo. They are addicted to changing people’s lives with God’s love by building and serving on our Team Casas trips for individuals.
Here’s a quick update on the progress of our A Time to Build campaign. We should have the two buildings stood before Christmas.
Christie Ritter served as an intern with Casas por Cristo during college and is now volunteering with the Peace Corps in Peru.
Jan Mayo first heard about Casas por Cristo while volunteering on a youth group ski trip that she was chaperoning for her teenage son. After her son’s first Casas trip, she decided to give it a try. Now she leads teams from her church on trips to several of our locations.
Maida Apodaca and her family have been building homes with Casas por Cristo since 1995. They initially thought they would build just one home with us, but as each year rolled around, they told each other, “Just one more house.”
Meet Zachary Bryan, one of our newest missionaries. Zachary came on as an apprentice in May as the videographer in our marketing department.
Maria’s world was completely flipped upside down a few weeks ago. Pastor Heyson Bohr serves on the Casas por Cristo pastor’s committee in San Raymundo, Guatemala.
